When visiting Badacsonytördemic and its surroundings, you can spend not just a weekend, but even years without being bored for a single minute. Observing from the shade of the vine trees, the panorama of Lake Balaton is incredibly beautiful, especially when viewed from a comfortable bench with a glass of wine.

Hollófészek Vendégház (Raven’s nest Guesthouse), completely renovated in the years leading up to 2021, offers our guests this experience. The guesthouse received its name from the cravens nesting on the towers of rock above the forests surrounding the accommodation. Through a lot of work, the hibernating former press house has become a shelter that meets all needs, where our guests can escape from the big city until winter sets in.

The guesthouse consists of a ground floor with a bedroom, kitchen and a winecellar, an attic and a separate bathroom building. On the ground floor there is a double bed and a folding armchair bed. The heart of the room is a fireplace that can be used for heating if needed. You can eat either in the winecellar or in the kitchen part, where the main entrance and the stairs leading to the attic are also located. The cellar, which is at least two-hundred-year-old, is suitable for larger meals and wine tastings, with variable colour LED lighting.

A double bed and a single bed are located in the air-conditioned attic, but there is also a smaller fold-out armchair bed suitable for kids or teens. There are two roof windows both to the north and the south, allowing a glimpse of the surroundings. We recommend using the attic with slippers or bare feet. Please note that dogs and cats are not allowed upstairs. The attic can be heated or chilled with the air conditioning. There is also a television set that works via WiFi but traditional TV broadcasting is sadly not available at this spot. The free WiFi signal is also available on the ground floor.

The bathroom, which is located in a separate part of the building, has a large built-in shower, hand basin, toilet and in an enclosure the water tanks. To approach the bathroom, we recommend wearing garden slippers. The distance between the entrance door of the guesthouse and the bathroom is only three meters and the area is covered with a roof. The bathroom can be heated with an electric radiator.

Hollófészek guesthouse does not have a piped water supply, thus water must be transported to the site by truck and the sewage is taken away by a suction truck. Securing the water supply in this way is extremely expensive, so we ask our guests to use water sparingly! Although the water is tapwater, it is stored in the tanks for several days or even over a week, thus we do not reccommend drinking from the tap. Please bring bottled water or ask us to supply you with fresh water. Thank you for your understanding!

The area around the guesthouse is surrounded by an electric fence so that deer and wild boar cannot access the grounds. The electric fence is not close to the guesthouse but if you explore around, please be aware and do not touch the wires! We also inform our guests that part of the property is observed by camera but not the house.

Hollófészek guesthouse can be reached by car from the centre of Badacsonytördemic or from the Laposa winery in Badacsony, on single-lane roads with some dirt road parts. Please drive carefully because the upper sections of the roads can contain rubble, basalt stones or potholes! Due to the oncoming traffic, it is sometimes necessary to pull over or back up to the nearest opportunity to pull over. The road from Badacsony has been almost entirely pavednow and only the last 300 meteres are of less quality.

If hiking, you can reach Badacsonytördemic on the national blue trail, then make a detour of 300 meters to reach the guest house. From Badacsonylábdihegy you can use the yellow trail almost directly to the guesthouse. The red trail circumnavigating the top of Mount Badacsony passes behind the guesthouse.

The access roads are impassable in winter if there is ice or snow, so our guesthouse is closed after the first weekend of November up until the first weekend of March.

Hollófészek guesthouse can be used for a minimum of 2 nights from in the spring and the autumn but reservations of minimum 5 nights are required during the summer school holidays and preferably from weekend to weekend (e.g. from Friday to Sunday of the following week, Monday to Saturday or similar).

Our prices for 2025:

Outside the summer school holidays: 1 pers. €79/night, 2 pers. €89/night. Each further person €18/person/night.

During the summer school break (mid June till end of August): 1 pers. €89/night, 2 pers. €99/night. Each further person €22/night. Minimum reservation in summer: 5 nights.

Children aged 3-14 will receive a discount of €5/night.

City tax for people aged 18 or above: €1.25/night.

Pet fee: €5/day/pet

Firewood for garden cooking or heating the fireplace: €5/day.

We ask our guests to bring charcoal with them in case they would like to use the grill.

Our prices do not include any meal plan.
